Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I am sorry to hear about your daughters ailment. The presence of WBC or pus cells in urine is suggestive of urinary infection. The steroids can make one more vulnerable to having infections. Can I assume that the urine has been sent for culture and sensitivity t test for infection? I suggest that you discuss and liaise with the treating doctor to see if a course of broad spectrum antibiotics can be started straight away after taking the sample for culture. Keeping her sufficiently hydrated and a diet that compensates for loss of protein in the urine is important. This should be discussed and agreed with the treating physician so that medications and their doses can be appropriately adjusted.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
