How Can A 1.7cm Gall Stone Be Treated?

Hi, my husband experienced some lower to mid of the abodominal pain on the left and he is now in ER. He was treated with ERCP last March due to a stuck gallstone in the common bile duct The current ultrasound shows there is 1.7cm gallstone. What is our treatment options at this point? Why the spot he felt the pain is not where we expect to be (mid to upper right if it s due to gallstone)? Thanks so much for the answer
