How Can A Combination Of Tendinosis And Partial Tearing Be Treated?

Had an MRI done of my left elbow for epicondylitis or tennis elbow. The results show extensor tendon origin is abnormal in appearance with elevation of T2 signal. The appearance suggest a combination of tendinosis and partial tearing which involves approx. 50% of the common extensor tendon thickness and extends longitudinally approx. 6mm. What can be done in this case? is surgery recommended? next steps to be taken?
