Hi, I have been doing a stimulated cycle with 5 days of letrozole and 3 shots of gonal f. I went in today for my 12 day us and there was nothing on my left ovary and one 45 mm on my right. There was no sign of the 45 mm at my baseline, so the doctor said to take ovidrel tonight and come in for iui on Tuesday. Everything I ve read since I got home says it s a cyst and not a viable egg. Is that true? What should Ido?
You should be connected with your treating doctor. Your doctor before doing IUI will definitely test for the viability of the eggs. Just stay relaxed, do not take stress. Your doctor will do a pelvic examination to feel inside your pelvis any lumps or changes. Thereafter, if needed USG will be done to study the location and whether they’re primarily fluid or solid.
If needed it will be removed to prevent further complications. You are suggested to stay away from addictions if any. Stay comfortable and adequately hydrated. Stay away from anxiety and stress (emotional or physical) for the best results if a viable egg is detected and IUI done successfully.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
