I had an abscess infection in my thumb. Now my fingernail has started to come off, but only the right side because it is the dead side. The left side is completely alive. I would like to ask what I should do if only the right side of my fingernail is dead and ready to fall off.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The dead fingernail can be removed by your dermatologist by a procedure called Partial Nail avulsion. Please do visit your nearby dermatologist.
