hello I have a friend who just gave birth to a baby girl with deformed finger. Instead of a normal formed finger pad for one finger, this little girl is borned with a squarish finger pad and a protruded finger nail at the side of the affected finger. Is this a birth defect and what causes it? Can this be corrected and when can this be done?

How Can A Deformed Finger Be Corrected?
Hi Welcome to the HCM The reason can be congenital or intrauterine growth defect. Don t worry as it can be easily treated by plastic surgery once she grows up. Hopefully it will be of help. Take care
