I have a sn who plays Lacrosse Goalie, he sometimes takes hits by a hard rubber ball (mulitple times) at 60 MPH. He has a bruise he got 2 weeks ago and it is very tight under the bruise. Not like the other bruises that change color when healing. Should i take him in to the doctor?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your case history of bruise, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and swelling. If problem persists then consult a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
