How Can A Neck Lump With Swelling Thyroids Be Treated?

I am sixteen years old and I have noticed a lump under my neck\jaw bone area. my mother had this checked out and while I was inthe processed of doing so,they realized that my thyroids were swollen. one on each side. This lump is moblie,tender and painless. It has grown within the past 6months and hasnt gotten any bigger. my doctor says that there is a possibility it could be mono or cancer,but I havent shown any symptoms of mono.And its very noticable.I can enlarge it as well. Do you have a clue to what this could possibly be?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have enlarged thyroid gland with lump. You may some goitre, thyroiditis or other thyroid disease. You should go for ultrasound thyroid. If needed go for fine needle aspiration cytology. It will give you exact diagnosis.
Then you should take treatment accordingly.
