How Can A Painful Swelling At The IV Methamphetamine Injection Site Be Treated?
My boyfriend has been using IV Meth, he s a frequent user but shooting more often now. Last week did one on his inner wrist and yesterday arm became very swollen, excruciating pain, unable to move fingers , arm is discolored. Nothing like this has ever happened before. What s your opinion?
Well, accepting that he has a problem addiction is the first thing and he needs treatment for drug abuse, its important to know if he is using IV Meth or any other medications as well. This pain and swelling and discoloration needs immediate attention, as it could be an infection at the injection site, or the drug would have been injected subcutaneously into the tissues surrounding the vein. He needs immediate medical care.
