I really appreciate your concern for your friend's father looking to the history given here he must be in coma and having life supports so this is question of intensive care and I guess he must be in same unit and there he is on all the necessary treatment, in my opinion it is advisable to have a word with treating physician for prognosis, hope this information helps you have a nice day.
