How Can A Raised Sore On The Arm Be Treated?

I have a red raised sore on my upper arm. It has been there for just over a week. No itching, no pain. It seems to get bigger everyday. Do I need to see a doctor? It is not infected. Any home remedies? Thanks, Diane Galburt. This site said that I could get an answer for free!

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history of raised sore on arm, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with spf more than 30.
3. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.

If problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Thanks.
