How Can A Red Rash On The Knee Cap Be Treated?

My 22 year old daughter has been getting a large red, kinda like a rash and it is warm to her touch.it last for awhile and then disappears. it dosent itch either. her whole knee cap is covered red, and I small circle that will be her normal skin color.

Hello,

As per your case history, your daughter is suffering from an Irritant rash.

My treatment advice is:
1. Do not scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like Fusiderm-B cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral steroid like Prednisone or Betamethasone taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
