sustained a blow to my forehead, swelling was not so bad the first day, but woke up with considerable swelling right across the forehead and eyes. no headache or nausea, just severe swelling. should I be concerned or is this swelling normal under the circumstance
As per your case history of traumatic rash, my treatment advice is - 1. Apply ice on the lesions twice daily. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an NSAID like ibuprofen for 5-7 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil, and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
