I have a sore on my labia that only hurts when it’s touched, it popped up as a pimple a little while after I shaved with an old razor. I’m terrified it’s herpes but it might be something else? I can’t go to the gyno yet because I’m on Spring Break and have to wait to get back home. HELP PLEASE
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As you told about recent shave with old razor.
Possibly, you got unnoticed cut which eventually got infected. This leads to inflammation and pus formation causing pain and tenderness.
Herpes infection is associated with burning sensation along with affected nerve, so it is not the herpes infection.
Just take tablet diclofenac + serratiopeptidase 12 hourly. Apply clotrimazole powder twice a day after taking bath around genitals. Maintain proper hygiene.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
