I went to a doctor who said I have a goiter and ran a blood test. The results won t be back for a few days. I have been sleeping way too much for several years (had been attributing this to something else), gained weight and lost interest in many things. I often can t get out of bed for important events. My boyfriend s is at his wit s end and doesn t feel my condition warrants such extreme conditions, feels I must push myself. I understand his frustration, but can t help it until this is treated. He also has hypothyroidism, but never had such severe symptoms. I read a lot and understand the condition, but just can t get him to understand this and it s really hurting us. Please help me get him to realize it s beyond my control.

How Can A Thyroid Goiter Be Identified?
Hello, You should wait for the results of the blood tests. They show the thyroid function and if hypothyroidism is confirmed, it is the cause of your symptoms. There is no other way. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Mirjeta Guni, Endocrinologist
