How Can A Tongue Lump With Pain Causing Swallowing Difficulties Be Treated?
I have an extremely painful bump or sore way back on my tongue i thought it was my throat at the ER last night they said they didnt see anything i just have a viral infection later i felt way back on my tongue and thats where it hurts i am having a problem swallowing and cannot eat what could it be?

Hello,
Throat infection - there will be some amount of inflammation, swelling of tissue, which gives that sensation. Do warm salt water gargling 3 times a day, you can use Betadine too for gargling. Anti-inflammatory medication to reduce symptoms.
