How Can Acid Reflux Be Treated?

Dear sir/ ma'am
I had take betnesol 0.5mg tablet to treat my mouth ulcer as advised by chemist. Next day in early morning I have vomit which cause acidity whole day and from that day I feel sour or bitter taste daily. I have taken some ayurvedic medicines for about 10 days but I didn't get any benefit. Now what can I do to treat myself?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* As per my clinical experience, the current acid reflux is due to drug induced gastritis with or without ulcer.
* Primary guidelines at present

- Dietary preference for vegan diet.
- Avoid all spices, non veg stuffs.
- Intake of PPI as omeprazole and antacid syrup for desired period of time till complete recovery.
