How Can An Anal Fissure With Oil Drainage Be Treated?
Wow! This is great! Been happily married 33 years. Wife forced an enema in me that went through outer rectal skin and out again before entering rectum. Trajectory continued into side of colon wall where she injected mineral oil. Obviously the most traumatic pain I ve ever experienced there was a baseball size ball in my crotch a few hours later. The hole in my colon has been surgically repaired & oil pouch seems to be almost normal. Two questions: Oil has formed a fissure and is draining. ER didn t drain it. #1. Should I be concerned about any oil residue or any damage from it in my body? #2. Wife swears the event never happened and that the wounds were already there when she successfully gave me the enema. Could this be a case of hysterical amnesia?
Anal fissures cannot be completely cured by medications such as the one you are taking.
You need to undergo cryosurgery for complete cure. The operation is called 'fissureotomy'. You need to consult Surgeon in this regard for proper evaluation and management.
In the meantime, since constipation is the triggering factor for exacerbation of symptoms, you need to take laxatives to avoid the same.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein,
