How Can An Ankle Pain Caused By Sport Be Treated?

Hey, I m a skateboarder, who is used to rolling ankles once or twice a year. About 2 years i ago i twisted my left ankle for the first time ever, (twist not a roll) and 2 years later, i can feel a sharp pain sometimes when i walk, and sometimes my ankle will even give out. This isnt the normal pain i usually feel from an ankle roll. It could be a high sprain, and if it is, how can i properly rehab it without leaving work?

hi, thanks for calling HCM, about your complain I think at first you have to get MRI to know what the exact problem and to know the severity of the injury and which ligament of your ankle is affected, then up on the result we can advice what to do next. but anyway you have to get some rest for your ankle till we know the problem of your ankle by MRI examination, after that we will know what you need if just rest or some physiotherapy or even surgical intervention, regards, Dr. Ayman
