How Can An Eyelid Bite With Tear, Bleeding And Swelling Be Treated?

Hi, My pomeranian dog accidentally bit my eyelid instead of fetching his toy yesterday. a chunk of skin has ripped off. I wasn t in much pain but the cut was red and bleeding. I have iced the area and clean the wound yesterday. Also I have apply betadine on the wound but I woke up this morning with a swollen eye. Any suggestions on what I can do as I can only see a GP tomorrow Monday as they are closed today. Thank you.

Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that you are having eyelid tear following a dog bite.
If the fog is immunized then no need to worry.
If it is not then rabies immunization has to be started.
The tear has to be repaired only after injecting local human immunoglobulin.

Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Hope this is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you
