How Can An Itchy Rash On The Lower Arm Be Treated?

I have had a rash type skin problem on my lower arm right above the wrist for several months. It first appeared like hives. I have tried all kinds of creams and ointments allergy pills but it won t clear up. It is not painful just itches periodically.

Hi.
As per your case history you are allergic dermatitis, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on the lesions twice daily.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
