Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doctor
i do 16 hours of gymnastics a week, and on top of my left ankle on the left side in one spot where theres a bit of a dent next the outer ankle bone. If i punch off the ground hard (for example to do a back flip) i get a really sharp pain in that spot and it really hurts to walk and i can't put pressure on it. I've tried using tensor bandages but they don't help. When it does hurt i can only walk on my toes or with my foot turned in (outside of foot not touching the ground) without any pain. Yesterday the best thing that helped was putting heat on it, which only helped for a few hours. My gym doesn't have heat packs, so i couldn't do floor. I have Ontario Championships in 2 weeks and i've been training for this since last year
Pease help!
