Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi my daughter slipped on a tennis ball last week and she has been complaining that her ankle and foot hurt. There’s no swelling and she has continued to walk on it since. She is constantly saying it hurts but I’ve said that it will heal in good time. Is there any advice you can offer?
It is just a sprained ankle. As a first line management she can take analgesics like Acetaminophen or Tramadol for pain relief. Apply ice packs and elevate affected feet on a pair of pillows.
Generally the symptoms will settle in couple of days. If symptoms persist, better to consult an orthopedic and get evaluated. Wishing you good health.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
