How Can Aphasia And Incomprehension Be Managed While On Reglan, Luvox And Zyprexa?
My 18 year old severely autistic son takes 5 mg twice daily of Reglan, 75 mg twice daily of Luvox, and 12.5 mg of Zyprexa daily. He has been on the Reglan since Febuary, The Luvox for about a year and a half, and the Zyprecxa has just been introduced in the last 6 weeks. He has lost a large amount of the ability to find his words and he can t understand much of what I am asking him. This problem has increased dramatically since being put on Prophenazine and now switched over to Zyprecxa. How concerned should I be? How do I know which drug is causing the problems? What do I do?
The given symptoms of your son of difficulty in finding the words and other may be due to the illness itself. Autism and drugs may not be the cause, still you can discuss about this just to adjust the dose of it, sedative phase can cause some confusion and may cause difficulty in finding the word or not to understand what is being said.
Hope I have answered your query.
