Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

1)Do a clinical exam by your treating doctor and do CBC, stool RE/ME and ultrasound whole abdomen to confirm exact pathological cause and if already done then you can share your exact reports.

2)Discuss with your treating Doctor about [iron sucrose and vitamin B 12 injections] weekly.

For prevention, you can modify your life style like this -

1)Take Iron-rich foods include meats, beans, lentils, iron-fortified cereals, dark green leafy vegetables, and dried fruit.

2)Take folic acid regularly which can be found in citrus fruits and juices, bananas, dark green leafy vegetables, legumes, and fortified breads, cereals and pasta.

3)Take Vitamin B-12 regularly and this vitamin is found naturally in meat and dairy products.

4)Take foods containing vitamin C such as citrus fruits, melons and berries that can help increase iron absorption.

Hope that helps
