How Can Asthma, Cold, Wheezing, Breathlessness And Bloody Cough Be Treated?

My 6 year old daughter has asthma that only gets bad when she has a cold. She started having a cough 8 days ago, the fever with wheezing started 5 days ago. I took her to the doctor the next day, he gave her a breathing treatment and says the fever is due to a virus. Last night, day 7 the fever got higher (102.8) and she had a really hard time breathing so I took her to the ER, she had another breathing treatment and was given a steroid for her asthma. She then was sent home. The ER doctor says that she has no infection, just a virus. Tonight she still has the fever which has lasted 5 days and she is coughing up blood, what do I do? Does is sound like she has an infection?
