How Can Blisters And Purple Discolored Patches On The Skin Be Treated?
Female, age 55. Diabetic with Colitis. I have a few spots that look alot like blood blisters. Patches of skin that are purplish in colour. I have not banged or bumped my arm into anything.? Just noticed when I changed from long sleeve to short sleeve.?
Hi. As per your case history you are having purpuric rash. My treatment advice is - 1. Take good nutritious diet full of green leafy vegetables and milk. 2. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 3 months. 3. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily on it. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral niacinamide taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
