How Can Burning Sensation In The Arms And Legs Along With Fatigue And Nausea Be Treated?
We oversee our neighbor who is 88 years old. She says her symptoms are burning in her arms and legs, severe exhaustion and nausea. She has gone to the emergency rooms in both Iron Mountain and Iron River, MI and they give her nausea medication and send her home. She says her symptoms are worse every day. The only test that came back off was her sodium level of which they told her to limit her water intake to 48 ounces per day and add 1/4 tsp of salt to each of her meals. Her BP has been around 130 over 67. Bottom number is lower than normal. We do not know what else to do.
Hello Welcome to Ask a Doctor service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. The present symptoms has nothing to do with the blood pressure and sodium level and no need to be over conscious for that, but your main concern should be the burning sensation and most of the time it could be due to endocrine dysfunction and that need to be ruled out, second is viral infection, in either of this case just take it easy and differentiate the conditions, last it may be due to age too, Hope I have answered your query, let me know for further assistance,
