How Can Burning Sensation In The Vagina Be Treated?

Hi. I took a shower two days ago and when I was cleaning my vaginal area I got some soap in my urethra and it burned , I rinced it as best as I could but the burning sensation and rawness has yet to stop. I ve not had sex or masturbated in weeks so I know it couldn t be any STD. What should I do to make it stop hurting and how can I prevent it from happening again?

Hi,

Don't know what kind of soap you use to cause such an issue for you. 1. Irritation due to infection is common - sex is not the only way you can get an infection, public toilets, poor hygiene, sex more than months can also cause infection. Other reasons for vaginal irritation
2. Dryness – can be due to infection, dehydration, age factor, hormonal imbalance.

3. Eczema
4. Benign or malignant polyp for these you need a meet a gynecologist in person. For now, you can use brufen for the irritation if you are not allergic to it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
