I started to have a sharp pain near my groin. I got so bad a was rushed to the hospital on 06/15/18. The doctor order a Cat scan. He believed I was drug seeking. Refused to give me pain meds. When a nurse saw that I was balled up and crying. I was given a shot and discharged. I asked for a copy of my labs and report. On the Cat scan report showed a calcified lymph node near my groin. I m still in great pain in that area. Tonight I had another sharp pain under my left arm pit, on my rib cage enough for me to cry out. I found a bump. I ve been sweating, fatigued, not able to eat. Losing weight, and I have Crohn s Dis, my primay doctor is out of town for 2 weeks. What should I do?
HHello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Possible causes for lymph calcifications include sarcoidosis, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic sclerosis, fungal infections, metastatic thyroid carcinoma and metastases from distant calcifying neoplasm. Calcified lymph node won't cause pain. It may be due to groin area infection or folliculitis or chrons may lead fistula formation lead to pain or joint inflammation due to chrons disease. Ureteric calculi or nerve compression or neuropthy may present like this. Please consult your physician/Gastroentrologist he will examine and treat you accordingly. Take care.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
