Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If it is age related cerebral atrophy it is common in old age. In Alzheimer's disease or infections or parkinsonism or infractions may also present like cerebral atrophy. Until know and exact cause it is difficult to say what it is. Age related cerebral atrophy is not reversible. Please consult your neurophysician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
