How Can Chronic Anemia Be Treated?
My mother is 94 years old with chronic anemia. She received one injection of Procrit and has been so sick ever since - fatigue, heart pain, bone pain, sick to her stomach. One of her doctors recommended Aranesp (Darbepoetin Alfa). Could this injection help my mother without all the nasty side effects. She has been getting blood transfusions every month since October.
