How Can Chronic Diarrhea And Bowel Incontinence Be Treated?
I am a 61 female. I am experiencing uncontrolled running bowel movements. When I go to the bathroom to urinate I find bowel movements have occurred without my trying. It's like a baby who has a bowel movement in the diaper. I havent used laxatives. I thought it was diarrhea, but this has been going on for about a week. There is no feeling of wanting to have a bowel movement. The color and consistency is like a green paste. I have recently been diagnosed as having a cyst on both of my ovaries. Help could the cysts be the reason?
It is not likely from the ovarian cysts. Something is going on in the colon that needs to be corrected. It could be an infection or some sort of obstruction. See your doctor or a gastroenterologist as soon as possible. You may need a colonoscopy to sort this out.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Kathy Robinson
