Hello dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Hemicranial or holocranial throbbing nature headache with or without nausea , vomiting, photophobia, phonophobia are characters of migraine headache. Usual episodes last for few hours to a day or two but less than 72 hours. More than this duration may be found in status migrainosus. If it continuous then your episodic migraine has converted to chronic migraine. You need to consult a neurologist for advice and treatment. You may need continuous prophylaxis for migraine for around 6 months. Drugs like amitriptyline, beta blockers, flunarizine, topiramate, divalproate are used alone or in combinations. Hope you found the answer helpful. Regards Dr Deepti verma
