How Can Chronic Severe Pain Around The Waist Be Treated And Is It Due To ASLO?
My father is over 60 years old, he has been suffering from severe waist pain for many years, it is so severe now that the pains sometimes goes down to his laps and so deep. Recently someone said it was acute rheumatism and mentioned ASLO, please I wish to know if this severe pain is related to ASLO and what exactly is ASLO. Please what is the most effective medicine he can take to relieve him of the pains?
Waist pain may be due to lumbar spondylosis or disc prolase or disc bulge with nerve compression or back muscles spasm. Many other possibilities like ankylosing spondylosis.
ASO is associated with rheumatic arthritis but it is common in younger age group not with back pain it may present like large joint pain. During old age it may be rheumatoid arthritis which may be associated with rheumatoid arthritis. It may affect back but more commonly small joints of hand and foot. Please get it done ANA,RA factor, ESR,X-ray of lumbar spine etc.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
