How Can Cold And Cough Be Treated?

Hi doc, I am in Ooty,my son is 3 yrs old,he has developed cold n cough & is not getting better, since last 3 days i am giving him relent 3.5 ml & Tuspel 3.5 ml.But his coughing is not improving.we are coming from Mumbai & seems like he is not able to cope up with the cold here. pl help.
