How Can Cold And Cough While On Tramadol Be Treated?
83 year old on tramadol for back and nerve pain while being assessed; has prior asthma and breathing issues... now may have a cold and cough as do several family members. Per checking drug interactions, it looks like we should not introduce Mucinex.

There is not a problem with mucinex but you should not give antihistamines with the tramadol. That is the only drug interaction I found with common cold remedies. Antihistamines are in many of the over the counter cold medications.
