How Can Contractions Be Reduced During Pregnancy?

I am 7.5 months pregnant. 3rd pregnancy. Been having contractions for an hour already. Interval is inconsistent ranging from 2 to 7 minutes. Each contraction lasting 30 secs to a minute. Took half a duvadilan tab 30 mins ago, hoping it's enough to stop the contractions since taking a whole tab makes my heart palpitate like crazy. Contractions lessened in duration and intensity but still present. Took the other half 10 minutes ago since the first half isn't enough. So far have contracted twice since, and my heart is starting to hammer away already. Please advise how long i can wait this out before i should go to the hospital. Thanks.

hi,if your heart rate goes beyond 100/min you should report to hospital and if the painful contractions dont stop with duvadilan you will have to go to hospital and take injectable duvadilan drip to stop the contractions.if the contractions have minimised then after consultation with your gynaec you can start taking tab duvadilan retard 40 at bed time.this will prevent palpitations and secondly will slowly keep releasing duvadilan throughout the day preventing contractions.in addition you should be on bed rest and no coitus and no lifting heavy weights.all the best and take care.
