How Can Cough And Fever In A Child Be Treated?
Hi
My 5 year old has a fever of 40.3! She's had a fever hoovering 37-38 since Wednesday night. She's also got a cough and complains that her tummy hurts. What do I do? If her fever doesn't go down in 30min Im thinking of taking her to hospital. What do you think??

Your daughter has infection most probably bacterial.For now give her antipyretic like paracetamol 15 mg/kg.If no relief in 1 hour then you can give mefenamic acid syrup 3-5 mg/kg.No need to rush in panic.Sponge whole body with tap water.Fan on.windows open.Give her lots of water.Current spike will come down in 1 hour with abovementioned advice
