Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

If the diagnosis was confirmed in sibling, probably she also have the same infection. As streptococcal disease needs antibiotic treatment, it is better that you consult your pediatrician. For such cases I used to give Amoxycillin or Amoxyclav for 5-7 days. Meanwhile, you can give her acetaminophen for fever, along with saline nasal drops to clear nose.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
