I have dark toe nails. Not all of them are dark. I used to play soccer and I thought I got some of my nail bruised from playing. It s been over a year that I have stopped playing and they appear the same. They don t hurt or feel itchy. Are they bruised or is it fungus
The more likely diagnosis of your condition based on the description of the lesions is onychomycosis which is a fungal infection of the nail.It It is also common in athletes and those who perspire a lot. Topical antifungal creams like amrolfine twice daily along with amrolfine nail lacquer once a week will help.Oral terbinafine can also be used in pulse therapy after consulting your dermatologist.
