I have discoloration and scaly skin n on the sole of right foot. No itched ng but area continues to grow. Nurse practitioner diagnosed it as eczema but aside from dermatitis I have not had eczema before. I am 75 yo and have a history of type II diabetes. Have appliedclobetasol propionate cream. Dermatologist 's  Response
hi..i have been through ur query carefully n understand ur concern.ur history suggests that u r having diabetes mellitus.diabetic patients are very prone to fungal infection.
so fungal infection cant be rule out.however eczema can be a possibility.as it is only a history based diagnosis and clinical correlation is important to make definite diagnosis.so I would like to suggest that visit ur nearby dermtoligist.
I hope u r satisfied with my answer in case of any problem feel free to ask us.
