I have developed raw, peeling spots on my face. Not a rash. No acne. Just patches over top of my glasses, around my smile lines, and outside of my nose next to my nostrils. The soonest I can be admitted to a dermatologist is in March. After trying many things, only aloe vera and triple antibiotic ointment soothes the areas and lessens the red irritated look. Is there any other topical ointment I could try to tie me over until March?
As per your case history of dry patches on the face, my treatment advice is - 1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with SPF more than 30. 2. Apply an emollient cream like Enmoist cream twice daily on it. 3. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for three months. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, topical steroid cream given only after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
