How Can Eczema With Redness And Itching Be Treated?

I m 84 and suddenly out of the blue I am having what my Dr. has named eczema. I treat the areas for two weeks with his prescribed steroid cream and then stop only to have new affected areas start up with redness and itching. Does this sound like eczema to you? When can I expect this to go away? Is this possible?

The possible diagnosis of the condition based on the description of the lesions is eczema. However only steroid cream will not help and you might also need a moisturiser as unless the dry skin gets cured the eczema will relapse.Emolients containing liquid paraffin can be used for the same.Oral antihistamines like fexofenadine may also be used to reduce the itching.Consult your dermatologist regarding the above mentioned therapy. Regards
