Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Is he intubated? Since when he is suffering from above problem? How do you know that he is having epiglottitis? Usually emergency intubation or laryngeal irritatioay cause epiglottitis. You may use steroid for decrease edema. You can use antibiotics to decrease infection. If he is feeling dyspnoea need to intubate. Please consult your treating doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
