How Can Erythema Nodosum Causing Leg Lesions With Marks Be Treated?
hi doctor my name is Johanah .. I was dig nosed with erythema nodosum 2 months ago.. blood test was done only to find that my iron was too low 6.5... then I have been in the treatment taking supplements for about three months now.. my last visit indicated the iron being increased to 10.6 but still the lesions on my lower legs becomes worse.. I was hoping when am taking this supplements the red bumps will subside... after how long can I expect this to stop... please help my feet are too ugly now with black marks... too terrified.. and what causes this erythema nodosum thing? also pray for me..
Hi. As per your case history of erythema nodosum, my treatment advice is - 1. Erythema nodosum is caused by any body infection, medicines or any systemic disease. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream twice daily on lesions. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine for itching. 4. To remove black marks, you can apply hydroquinone 2% cream once at night. 5. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, NSAID, oral steroid, colchicine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
