How Can Excessive Anger And Aggressive Behaviour In A Child Be Treated?
My 13 year old son struggles with impulse control, angers easily, and often takes teasing too far. His teacher s say he bullies and he might. A doctor once suggested putting him on antipsychotic drugs but I am apprehensive to do so. I am unsure of what to do?
Hello there I have read through your question and understand your concern. I don't think he needs to be put on antipsychotic s without a proper assessment of his condition. I would advise you to take him to a child psychologist and get him assessed. He seems to be having anger issues which may be because of some unresolved issues he may be having. You should also talk to him and try to know if he is having any issues at school or with friends. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
