How Can Eye Lumps With Hardness Causing Skin Protrusion Be Treated?

Hi

My 5 year old daughter has a small hard lump below each eye that feel like they are on the bone as I don't think they move. I could see one of them as it was making her skin protrude slightly. Is it something that needs chhecking out?

Thank you

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that your daughter is having eye lumps which are hard and situated below the eye.
This indicates probable cystic swelling of the eye and orbit in the form of dermoid cysts or inflammatory swellings of the glands of the eyelids like chalazion.
Both of them can be treated by surgery.
Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for examination for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
