My eye has had large floaters (like looking through broken glass) for over a year. Just a few minutes ago, I noticed my vision was like looking through blackish dirty water with black specks & wispy type images. No pain, headache, dizziness or nausea. My eye doctor told me I should see someone immediately if I experienced changes when I first noticed the large floaters. Should I see urgent care or emergency room or wait until eye doctor is in tomorrow?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You need an urgent Retina examination . Floaters could be a symptom of retinal hole or tear also. If that is ruled out you can undergo laser or floater only vitrectomy to get cured of this.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
