Hello ma am and welcome. Unfortunately, pregnant women are not prescribed medications as the drugs can pass through the placenta reaching the fetus. Some of these medications can be harmful to the fetus, which is why they are contraindicated. Only if serious, and a risk versus benefit shows the benefit to be more, medications are prescribed. In the case of a stomach infection, the pregnant woman is just monitored to avoid dehydration. Antibiotics are not prescribed unless the infection is considered resistant and troublesome. Dehydration is all that can result in harm to their babies, other than this nothing serious can result ma am. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
